Your IT department may have a policy specifying that your video files are stored encrypted at rest. Since our video hosting is designed for business, the platform uses Amazon Web Services extensively and so we make use of their provided encryption of source assets for our origin storage.
Rather than duplicate their documentation here, Amazon have actually written an excellent summary: Securing_Data_at_Rest_with_Encryption. The top of page 11 is the applicable one, since we use ‘Model C’ encryption. AWS controls the encryption method and KMI using AES-256.
If there is any other feature that you need which we don't currently provide, please do get in touch: email@example.com.
