Encryption at rest

Our origin storage uses encryption at rest. Since our video hosting is designed for business, the platform uses Amazon Web Services and Oracle clouds extensively. We make use of their provided encryption for object storage. This is enabled by default. The files are then distributed using a CDN around the world.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Amazon have written an excellent summary: Securing_Data_at_Rest_with_Encryption. The top of page 11 is the applicable one, since we use ‘Model C’ encryption when using their S3 storage. AWS controls the encryption method and KMI using AES-256.

Oracle Cloud (OCI)
